Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS)

 

From its beginnings as a religious unit, ACIS has grown steadily and proudly into a dynamic academic centre in UiTM. In 2012, this journey reached a significant milestone with its official establishment as the Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS) . Today, ACIS stands strong in fulfilling two vital roles: guiding and delivering all MPU (General Studies) courses across the UiTM system, reaching over 22,000 students every semester, while also continuously growing as an academic hub that offers and governs its own specialised programmes.

As UiTM strides towards its vision of becoming a Globally Renowned University by 2025, ACIS moves forward with the same passion and responsibility. We see this aspiration not just as a goal, but as a shared mission that inspires every member of ACIS to unite, innovate, and unlock our full potential. With commitment and dedication, ACIS continues to champion meaningful initiatives that will shape the future of education and Islamic scholarship.
